For a woman in Qingdao,
China, it became too tiring and routine to apply make up every
morning, so she decided to make herself beautiful…permanently.
Nuonuo, 25, allowed her transformation to be documented as she
endured five procedures in seven hours. She underwent double-eyelid
surgery, rhinoplasty, and shaping of facial features.
Practical more than
aesthetic
Nuonuo admitted that
she had always been vain as a child. Upon becoming part of the
workforce, she spent at least an hour each morning putting on her
makeup. This went on until one day, she decided to indulge in major
cosmetic surgeries that would make a Beverly Hills facelift look like
a minor procedure.
Paying the high
price
From the start, Nuonuo
was in so much pain, she practically cried throughout the ordeal.
Local news reported her saying after the surgery: “Am I still
alive?” Her wounds and bruising have yet to heal and she is still
heavily bandaged, so it would take some time before the public could
find out if everything she went through was worth the effort.
Beauty transcends
cultural boundaries
In every country or
culture, there is a Nuonuo who dreams of being recognized for her
outstanding looks. Allegedly being tired of putting on makeup makes
these girls’ line of reasoning rather simplistic, but at day’s
end, it’s only their faces they see in the mirror and the only one
they care for. So, even amidst public criticism—and their own
pain—these women succumb to plastic surgery.
