Facelift surgery can help reduce the signs of aging
on your face and give you a more youthful look. However, take note that if you
undergo this surgical procedure, you can expect to take a short period of time for recovery. If you
don’t manage to follow the recommended recovery steps, complications might
arise. So before you step onto your doctor’s office for the appointment, be
sure you’ve got yourself prepped up:
Do the day’s chores.
Clean your house. Do laundry. Bathe the dogs. Do as
much of your daily tasks as you can, since you won’t be able to do any of the heavy
chores for at least 24 hours, while the surgical wounds heal. For as long as
your doctor recommends rest, you will do nothing more than take a lull from
physical work to ensure healing takes its course while you give yourself
sufficient time to recover.
Call for
help.
Your surgeon will administer a certain level of
anesthetics before surgery, and even after the procedure, you will be restricted
from operating heavy machinery, such as driving your car immediately after the
surgery. It’s crucial that you ask someone
to drive you to and from the doctor’s office, instead.
Stock up
on Soft Foods
As your face recovers, chewing hard food might be
difficult to manage, especially in the skin around your mouth. It is advised that
you take soft foods, instead. Make sure that you already have adequate stock of
such foods before you go for your surgery.
A nice list of tips. Let me just add that prior to booking your surgery, be sure to discuss all aspects of surgery with your surgeon, including your facelift risk profile and what to expect during your facelift recovery. In addition, fully evaluate facelift cost and make sure you have taken everything into account, including postoperative bandages and medications.
